TODDLIOTINEFINEARTPHOTOGRAPHY is offering the ultimate photographic adventure to Costa Rica. This trip offers not only a two full time professional photographers as your instructor; it also offers on professional local natural history guide. The number of photographers is kept small so personalized instruction is available for each participant. We tailor the photographic instruction to fit the needs of photographers from beginners to advanced so that each will receive the most out of the workshop.

This workshop will explore the best locations for many unique habitats to ensure that the students obtain a full Costa Rican experience. Our experienced guide will educate us on the natural history for each unique environment. This will aid the group in obtaining the perfect photographs from each area we visit.

No other place offers the enormous diversity in such a small country as that found in Costa Rica. Don’t miss this outstanding opportunity to photograph this spectacular country.

*Each day either in the evening or lunch time we will review photographs, go over

camera functions, light, exposure, composition, and post processing techniques.

Day 1San Jose/Hotel Bougainvillea

Arrival to Costa Rica. Meet our representative at the Juan Santamaría International Airport and transfer to your hotel near the capital city of San José, the Hotel Bougainvillea where Foto Verde Tours’ Monica Quesada will be awaiting your arrival. The Hotel Bougainvillea has free wireless Internet available throughout the property and also boasts one of the most beautiful tropical botanical gardens in the country, great for photographing flowers and macro.

Day 2San Jose/Hotel Bougainvillea

After breakfast, intro session at Hotel Bougainvillea then depart for downtown San Jose, where you will enjoy lunch and do some architectural, street, and market photography. Return to the Hotel Bougainvillea in the late afternoon.

Day 3Manuel Antonio/El Parador

After breakfast, travel to Manuel Antonio, arrive in mid to late afternoon with time to check-in and photograph the sunset, overnight at El Parador in superior rooms.

Day 4Manuel Antonio/El Parador

After breakfast, you head over to the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park, where you will spend the day photographing beaches, white-faced monkeys, squirrel monkeys, basilisk lizards, and black iguanas. Return to the hotel early evening and enjoy a relaxing dinner after this busy day.

Day 5Manuel Antonio to Savegre

After breakfast, you have a morning boat ride in the mangroves of the Damas Island estuary. Then checkout and head toward the high cloud forests of the Savegre Valley, where you arrive in late afternoon.

Day 6Savegre/Savegre Mountain Hotel

You have all today to photograph quetzals and hummingbirds on the lodge grounds and nearby areas. This evening, enjoy a presentation by leader Todd Liotine.

Day 8Savegre/Orosi Valley/San José

Leave mid-morning for San Jose stopping for photography and lunch in Cartago/Cachi,/Orosi area. You arrive to the Hotel Bougainvillea in late afternoon with time to relax and share photos before enjoying a farewell dinner at the hotel.

Day 9Airport

After breakfast, you have a private transfer to the airport for your flight home.
